Paintings by Johanna McCormick
On exhibit in the Live Oak Library Annex through July, 2025
About the Artist and Art: Johanna has been creating personal and professional art for over fifty years. A California native, she is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in art/graphic design. She creates art from a place that seeks a calm, quiet connection with the natural world. Clouds usually play a dominant role in her paintings. Ever changing, molding and nurturing the planet under them. They are the antithesis of the vast solid earth below.

Live Oak History Exhibition - thourgh July 2025
“What You Don’t Know About Live Oak in Photos,” was curated by Bill Simpkins and Reed Geisreiter, whose families have lived in Live Oak for generations, and seeks to answer many questions people may have been asking over the years: Who was Paul Minnie? Why are there so many Calla lilies everywhere? Why is Twin Lakes Church in Aptos called that when Twin Lakes State Beach is in Live Oak? Come by and find out!
